How to Create, Rename, Delete a Folder in Computer

When talking about file systems, a folder (also called directory, or catalog) is a way to organize computer files. A folder is a storage space that many files can be placed into to group them together and organize the computer. A folder can also contain other folders.

Here are the Basic Steps how to create folder in Windows

• Simply click on Desktop / Any white space in your computer.
• Then right click your mouse.
• Go to new, then a sub menu appears, click on Folder.

 

Then your folder is create with name " New Folder" and it is highlighted with blue color and press enter key on your keyboard.

How to rename folder?

When you create a folder, windows automatically name it as "New Folder". To give your interested name to folder, follow the following steps.

1. Click the Right mouse button on the Mouse.
2. A context menu appears. From this selected Rename.
3. Type your name and Press Enter key in your keyboard.

How to Delete a Folder?

To delete unnecessary folders from your computer, Simply do the following

1. Select the folder you want to delete by clicking on it using Mouse.
2. Now Right click on it.
3. A context Menu appears, from this menu select delete option.

4. Computer ask a conformation, click on OK.
